Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Two Good Dogs collects when you visit our site or place an order, and how we use, share, and protect it.
Information we collect
Simply browsing the site gives us some automatic technical details about your visit — things like your browser, device, approximate location, the pages you look at, and what brought you here. We refer to this as Device Information, and we gather it through a few standard methods:
- Cookies — small files stored on your device, often with an anonymous identifier. You can read more about cookies in general, and how to turn them off, at allaboutcookies.org.
- Server logs — records of activity on the site, including IP address, browser type, and timestamps.
- Pixels and similar tags — small snippets used to understand how pages are being used.
When you actually place an order, we also collect what's needed to fulfil it: your name, billing and shipping address, payment details, email, and phone number. We call this Order Information. Together, Device Information and Order Information make up what this policy calls Personal Information.
How we use it
Order Information is used to get your portrait made and to you: processing payment, arranging shipping, sending confirmations, and following up if we need to reach you about your order. We also use it to watch for fraudulent orders, and — only if you've opted in — to send you updates about new backgrounds, frames, or offers.
Device Information mainly helps us catch suspicious activity and understand, in aggregate, how people actually use the site, so we can keep improving it.
Who we share it with
We run this store on Shopify, so your information passes through their platform to make that possible — you can read Shopify's own privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy. We may also use analytics tools to understand site traffic in aggregate. Beyond that, we only share Personal Information when the law requires it (a subpoena, a court order) or to protect our own legal rights.
Advertising
If we ever run online advertising, we may use your Personal Information to show you ads for things you're more likely to be interested in. Should that apply to you, most major ad platforms (Meta, Google, Microsoft) offer their own settings to opt out of personalized ads, and the Digital Advertising Alliance runs a general opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.
Do Not Track
Our site does not currently change its data collection behavior in response to a browser's "Do Not Track" signal.
Your rights
If you're in the European Economic Area or UK, you can ask us to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you — just reach out using the contact details below. We process your information either to fulfil a contract with you (like an order) or to pursue a legitimate business interest as described above, and it may be transferred outside Europe, including to the United States, to run this store.
If you're a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information at any time; once you do, we won't sell it unless you tell us otherwise, and we won't ask again for at least 12 months. To opt out, email us at twogooddogs@gmail.com.
How long we keep it
We keep Order Information on file for our own records for as long as your account or order history is active, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons, and we'll post the revised version here.
Age restriction
This site is intended for adults; it isn't directed at anyone under 18.
